Art Thesis
A Scape in Transcendence
Washington and Lee University
March 2015-May 2015

This gallery exhibition featured my senior thesis work as a studio art major at my university. Throughout the year, I developed a body of work that expanded my junior seminar series. I then designed and constructed a gallergy exhibition alongside a student curator which was displayed in the arts center Staniar Gallery. Please refer to my artist statement below to learn more about my process and intention for the work.

Washington and Lee Holiday E-Card
Washington and Lee University
December 2014

This video project was a collaboration with the W&L Communications team where I was asked to participate in a full time lapse film in which I painted the colonnade Christmas scene from insdie Lee Chapel (two iconic locations of the W&L campus). The video was used to create the W&L Holiday E-Card which was sent to over 25,000 recipients.

Hotel Vitality

This project was completed for an English class, "Hotel Orient," in Spring of 2014. The project consisted of the conceptual and digital design of a virtual hotel within the Orient inspired by literature describing orientation in time and space in both the hotel setting and the Oriental culture. Using Sketchup, this design focuses on the zen principle of "Mu" as described by Noland Barthes as the empty center and source for truth and serenity.
